Let’s raise some money for those in need on May 6

Over the last few weeks we have been so inspired by our customers and our community that we wanted to do something to pay it forward. So we came up with the idea of doing a Wood Fire Fundraiser. We are excited to say that with the help of Hawk Meadow Montessori on May 6 we will be holding our very first Wood Fire Fundraiser to raise money for the people in our community that are experiencing food insecurity.

So here’s how it’s going to work, right now you can go to website and you can purchase wood fire pizzas that you will pick up on May 6 at Hawk Meadow Montessori. In order to control the situation and do it in safe manner we thought it was best to create time slots. So you’ll pick your time slot, pick your pizzas, then hit the check out and pay for your pizzas and you will receive a recipe in your email.  Then on May 6th you’ll show up within the time slot you picked with your receipt, either on your phone or you can print it out. We’ll have a print also and we’ll match that up and begin making your order. The pizzas are not pre-made, we make them right onsite from scratch. Our wood fire pizza takes only about 90 seconds to cook due to the 900 degree temperature of the oven, so it won’t take long to cook. Once your order is done, we’ll bring it over to your car and you’ll be on your way.

We also wanted to let you know that 100% of the proceeds raised from our fundraiser will be donated to a local food bank. Here’s how we are able to do that, we are going to donate all the food needed to make your orders, so all food cost is covered by us. The people helping us run the event are all volunteering their own time and  Hawk Meadow is donating the use of their space. The only other cost involved are credit card processing fees, and we are also going to cover all of the costs associated with processing the credit cards. So you can be 100% sure that every single cent that you spend is going to a person in need. If you buy one $12 pizza, all $12 are going towards feeding people in Dutchess County.

One last thing, for those that can’t make it on May 6 but still want to help, we have also added a donate button. That button will allow you to donate whatever amount of money you wish and just like the pizzas, 100% of that money will go to someone in need.

We want to thank you in advance for taking part in the fundraiser, for buying pizzas, for donating money, for sharing our fundraiser on social media and also for inspiring us to pay it forward.
